3D Laser Scanning Across London

Digital Scanning Group is based on Great Portland Street and surveys buildings in every London borough, from the City and Canary Wharf to Croydon, Harrow, Bromley and Enfield. Point cloud laser scanning, Matterport 3D tours, floor plans and scan to BIM, usually on site within the week and with no return visits needed.

Why London contractors and architects use us

London is where most of our work is. Our surveyors travel by Tube, rail and van with survey-grade Leica and FARO scanners and Matterport Pro cameras, so a single-room capture in Shoreditch and a fourteen-floor office in Canary Wharf are both routine. We know the access realities of the capital: planning around the congestion charge and ULEZ, building management sign-in, out-of-hours slots for occupied offices, and the sign-in and security procedures on government, transport and healthcare sites. Because everything is captured in one visit, you get the point cloud, the tour and any drawings without booking the space twice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you cover all London boroughs?

Yes. We are based on Great Portland Street in Westminster and survey in all 32 boroughs and the City of London. There is no travel charge within Greater London.

How quickly can you get to a London site?

Usually within the week, and often within two working days for a single building. Because we capture everything in one visit, a short access window is normally enough.

Can you scan an occupied London office without disrupting it?

Yes. Laser scanning is non-contact and each scan position takes a few minutes. We regularly work in occupied offices, early mornings or evenings, and follow the building's sign-in and security procedures.

Do you work on listed buildings in London?

Yes. Non-contact laser scanning is the preferred method for recording listed fabric. We produce plans, sections and elevations suitable for listed building consent applications and conservation architects across Westminster, Kensington, Camden and beyond.

How much does 3D laser scanning cost in London?

Point cloud surveys start from £1,200 per day on site and Matterport tours from £495. Drawings and Revit models are priced by sheet or floor area. We confirm a fixed price from a plan or a site visit before booking.

Can you fly a drone in central London?

Most of central London is within restricted airspace, so drone work needs advance permission. Our CAA-approved operators plan each flight and tell you early whether a site is flyable. Roofs and facades that cannot be flown are captured from the ground or from access equipment.
