Who we are
“At its core, Digital Scanning Group is about helping people understand spaces better — whether that’s a construction manager coordinating a build, a designer helping a client to visualise a project or a family preparing for hospital care.
Accurate data. Clear visuals. Better decisions.”
About Digital Scanning Group
Digital Scanning Group provides accurate, reliable digital capture of buildings and spaces, helping organisations make better decisions based on reality — not assumptions.
We work across construction, healthcare, commercial fit-outs and heritage environments, delivering high-quality 3D data and visual tools that support planning, coordination, communication and long-term asset management.
Our work is grounded in accuracy, discretion and clarity, particularly in complex or live environments where disruption must be kept to a minimum.
How We Work
Our approach is collaborative and straightforward.
We work closely with project teams, estates departments and clinical stakeholders to ensure our outputs are:
Accurate and cost-effective
Delivered quickly and reliably
Easy to understand and use
Aligned with existing workflows
We pride ourselves on being responsive, approachable and available — supporting clients not just with data, but with insight and clarity.
What We Do
We specialise in capturing the true, as-built condition of buildings using advanced 3D technologies, including Matterport capture, laser scanning, point clouds, BIM modelling, CGI visualisation and immersive virtual environments.
From a single site visit, we create digital assets that can be reused across multiple stages of a project — reducing repeat surveys, minimising site visits and improving coordination between stakeholders.
Our deliverables are practical, measurable and designed to be used — not just viewed.
Experience Across Sensitive and Complex Environments
We have extensive experience working within:
Live construction sites
Operational commercial buildings
Historic and listed properties
Clinical environments across the NHS, including maternity and neonatal units
This experience has shaped how we work. We understand the importance of:
Minimal disruption
Clear communication
Accurate, defensible data
Sensitivity to people and place
Whether supporting a refurbishment programme, progress reporting on a commercial build, or improving the patient experience in a clinical setting, our approach remains consistent and considered.
Technology With Purpose
We don’t use technology for its own sake.
Every tool we deploy — from point cloud surveys and Revit models to Matterport virtual tours and wayfinding environments — is selected to solve a specific problem: improving understanding, reducing risk, or supporting better outcomes.
In healthcare settings, this may mean helping patients and families feel more prepared and less anxious.
In construction, it may mean providing reliable progress records and coordination data.
In heritage environments, it may mean preserving detail without physical intervention.
A Long-Term Digital Asset
The digital environments we create are designed to deliver value beyond a single project phase.
They can support:
Ongoing facilities and estate management
Future refurbishments or extensions
Training and orientation
Patient and public engagement
Long-term record keeping
By capturing reality once and using it well, organisations can make more informed decisions for years to come.
